Contents of the contract

A new vocational college campus, Varian, was completed in Vehkala, Vantaa, including an extensive training and driving practice area. We implemented a comprehensive perimeter security system for the site. The property is owned by VTK Real Estate Oy and the contracting authority / main contractor for the project was Jatke Toimitilat Oy.

A total of around 750 metres of three-wire fencing and several gates were installed to serve the multiple uses of the area. The fences and gates were implemented to support functional and safe movement between the different sections.

The implementation included seven sliding gates and their machinery, some of which are special solutions. The most impressive feature of the site is the 26-metre wide sliding gate, which allows, among other things, the transfer of aircraft on the runway. In addition, several walkways and leaf gates were installed for pedestrian traffic.
